Cedar Mountain Lodge at Upper Oxbow Ranch is located on a 500 acre working wildlife ranch. The Lodge was built with local Texas red cedar trees, milled onsite to give a rustic elegant feel. It is situated among gentle rolling hills lined with Cedar trees, sprawling Mesquite flats, and heavily timbered creek bottoms. The Lodge offers a variety of services accommodating group or individual needs. From weddings, to corporate events and weekend getaways, guests will find that the facilities and amenities offer intimacy, comfort, and luxury suited for the most discerning guest. Activities
Cedar Mountain Lodge is perfect for a mini-vacation with friends, as we are conveniently located near several attractions. Canton’s First Monday Trade Days is just 34 miles away, ideal for shopping excursions. There are also several antique stores, all within a short driving distance of the lodge. Other hot spots for activities include Cedar Creek Lake, Gun Barrel City, Athens (and its waterpark), and several outstanding golf courses.
On-site you can enjoy our rustic bar indoors or outside, a round fire pit out on the patio, a large hot tub for many and Hunter’s Alley (Coming 2011), a nature trail in memory of Hunter Mason Browning that ends at a pond for guest to enjoy as their own. You may also enjoy bird watching, fishing or relaxing in our cedar rocking chairs on the front porch. Our outpost building is equipped with a wood-burning pizza oven and mesquite wood grill. This is the perfect place to host special team-building activities or gather together during your private event. Educational field trips for students are recommended as a great day-trip to the Lodge.
Cedar Mountain Lodge offers many outdoor activities such as trophy whitetail deer hunts, upland bird wing shooting, trap shooting and wildlife tours. These activities must be booked in advance. Call or email for details.
